So, today in class, we talked about how parents lie to their children in order to find out the truth. For instance, if a mom suspects that her child ate a chocolate bar hidden that he/she shouldn't have eaten, the mom goes like, "How was the chocolate?" And eventually the child confess the truth. Do u guys know or have u guys experienced such a thing?

My family is decided the time to use computer in one day when I was little. My two older brothers were using a computer together. I took a picture of this. When one of them are using computer, I asked him that he used or not. He lied that He didn't use yet. Then I showed it, then I said "You are lying! You already used computer! So, you cannot use it today!"

lololol this is very simple. Once i tricked a person to reveal her crush, simply by saying "i know who you like"~ a gullible person will easily fall for it. I just need to have some follow up statements and she will reveal hehehehehehe of course the initial lie will vary in effort in order to trick a person with different gullibility.

I really hate this approach filled with loaded language. It's like saying some crazy stuff, and saying "If you didn't do it, never mind." This is very ignorant of people's emotions and rude. So I already told my parents not to use this just merely to justify their suspicions. Yes, I have experienced and have fallen many times to such traps.

Whenever I try to find out who the person likes, I always tell them "So I heard you like someone." If the person who is bad at lying and feel guilty will start telling you the truth. I love how every time I do this they all fall for it

I always notice people trying to fish out answers from me by using this method but luckily, I hardly ever fall for it. I guess I'm just too used to it:/

My mom once asked me how I was doing with my girlfriend that I never told her about. I didn't directly giver her an answer that she wanted but I would react in a very sensitive way that she noticed that I had one and that I lied to her that I would go to library to meet her. Now, I don't really lie about it but really, moms know or find out everything.

Yes I have against my girlfriend. I found out one day that my friend went out on a date with my girlfriend and I asked my girlfriend saying how was it with 'my friend'.

I've never had it done to me. I'm usually careful not to be specific in the details i give out, and i try to remember exactly how much that person knows about a certain topic, so I don't give out any details and accidentally give myself away. This goes for my parents too. I never tell them more than I know that they know. Which is a confusing sentence.

When I was in elementary school, my teacher always said " I know who did it, confess it and you will receive forgiveness" and I'm falling for it. Later, in middle school, when my teacher did the same thing and I just started to mock them by saying like "They don't need forgiveness, can you just mention their name?".

I had done to my friend when i was in Canada. He had a girlfriend but seemed to receive a lot of message such as "I miss you", "Come back to Japan to see me" from other girl so I asked him "how's your girlfriend doing in Japan??" and I figured out that he's cheating because of his face expression. ;(

I use this kind of methods sometimes too. For example, when I want to know a secret from my friends, I go up to them and say "You know about that thing going on with...." even though I know nothings about that thing. Some people don't fall for it, but I've caught some secrets by doing this method haha

My mom used to use that method when she tried to find out whether I played computer game or not. First several times, I told the truth but later I found out that she just said that to find out, If I played computer game or not. So after several times, I did not told her truth and my mother stopped using that method too.

When i was younger me and my friends bailed on a guy that we did not really want to hang out with, he would always follow and stick with us every single time. One day we planned to hang out and so happens we did not tell him where we were going, somehow he suspected that we would do such thing and on the next day he came to us and told us how was the amusement park, we assumed he knew that we were there and told him the truth. Later, that day he told us that he just guessed about the park and from that point we all got closer.
