It's very unexpected and I cannot wait to find out more about the story. Very interesting indeed

At first, I thought that the man who wrote the letter would die soon because he is in a dangerous environment ( at the Pole to be exact), but after reading all those letters I assume the man is not an important character, but a "starter" for the story called Frankenstein.

As the story progresses, I feel like the beginning will be a lot more clear to us. This is always the case for most books with unusual beginnings.

I don't really understand the beginning, but from what I can know from it is that the main character is on a ship voyage in order to do something. The beginning of the actually story is interesting because it starts off with a complicated human relationship between family members.

I also thought the same way when I read the first 4 letters. But I started to understand as I read around letter 4 as the guy met a survivor and the man-looking guy going away, which would probably be Frankenstein and the scientist. Before, I also predicted that the traveler would be the scientist since he says how lonely he was and he would possibly be making Frankenstein to resolve his loneliness but I guess it wasn't.

Although it is totally unexpected, I like the way how story begins. I only imagined of the green monster and a scientist, but apparently Frankenstein has much more than that. I really look forward to reading it further.

Yeah, i also thought it would be about a creature with an artificial brain walking around, scaring people. The beginning was very shocking as it started with a ship and expedition to the seas of discoveries. I thought Frankenstain would be found in the laboratory or some sort of medical like facilities, instead he was found in the sea floating nearby the ship of Mr. Walton.

Even though it is a bit late to talk about introduction, since we are one like chapter 4, but when I first read it, I didn't really get the story. There was a random guy planning to go to North Pole, rather than making some things up in his laboratory like Hansoo thought. I thought the introduction was very unexpected. However, I figured out that the Walton, the guy who was planning to go to North Pole, was not the main character, but the guy who was found by Walton was. His name was Victor, we later found out, and chapter starts with his story, not the Walton's story. That was why the book started with letters, written by Walton who introduces Victor's story in chapter. I thought this format was very interesting. I wonder what will happen in the future, but I'm pretty sure something nasty will happen in that this is a gothic literature hehe

I already read and watched the movie Frankenstein so I don't want to spoil yall the ending. It is better to read it yourself and check out the story.

As for me, I think in the eariler chapter, we just read something that make us feel very comfortable because it just describe one person's normal life and we know that the main character is just one normal science student. It seemingly do not have too many relation with Frankestain. However, I think the descrption of Science argument may could show that he put too much time on science and that could lead to the creation of Frankestain.

I thought the scientist failed an experiment and he became a monster. But actually it was totally different story. It's more interesting than I thought. It sis thoughtful responsibility to what he made. I can connect it today's parents in some family. Some of them have less responsibilities about their kids.

I thought of the introduction to be totally different too. I also assumed that the book would open up with a diary of the scientist who created the monster. Or his first narrative point of view to explain what was going on and what is happening right now. I predict that the monster would eventually wind up dying due to some causes by the creator.
