Ballad does not necessarily have to include lyrics. There are many without any lyrics. This surprised me a little.

When poems first appeared, they were mainly focused on intangible or abstract themes rather than real objects. And then the focus shifted into women's daily life topics.

I know that Ballads are the poems in which are applied to music and other forms. The Ballads had been developed greatly in the Romantic period.

The only thing that I know about ballad is that they are written as a story and that it can be done as a poem or as a poetic song.

In my opinion, I think ballads are just too corny. I have hard time listening to them; making me feel like butterflies in my stomach.
