If Hamlet killed Claudius instead of Polonius, his madness would remain the same. Killing a person might make Hamlet become madder. We already saw that he acted quite mad by claiming that he could see the ghost when he killed Polonius (even though it is disputed whether the ghost was real or not). And for the consequence of killing Claudius, Hamlet could have been executed and might be uncontrollably frustrated. If he killed Claudius, he might risk himself and Denmark as well.

I don't think he was mad to begin with but if he killed Claudius instead of Polonius, I think he would've cooled down his anger.

I think so too. At the Act 5, he reached the level that he kills people for his better life. Not for revenge. I think this is crazy. But if he killed Claudia earlier, I think he might not be satisfied with his madness.

I don't think it will change anything if that happens because that is not the only reason that drives him mad..

i dont think he would become normal even though if he killed Claudius at that time. I think Hamlet will regret so much and go crazy.

No because such revenge won't solve any problems. revenge brings another revenge and the cycle continues.
