I honestly feel bad for Ophelia. She can't even follow her feelings and just have to be manipulated by Hamlet and her father. Hamlet used her as a tool for his revenge, even if they dated for a long time. If I were her and found out about this, I would be very furious.

I think she's too young and immature to really know what love really is. I guess she was just interested in him since Hamlet is a prince and probably good-looking, and well-dressed. And the real reason why she HAD to obey her father should be patriarchy and the culture during that time. Fathers had the most power in households and daughters should just obey them.

I am agree with ophelia not really love the Hamlet. If she really loved the Hamlet she will not follow what polonius told her to do. She really loved her family but not Hamlet, also I confused why father making decision all for her.

Yeah, that kind of threw me off like if you lose someone you gotta fight for him but in her case she just gave up. Back in those days i think relationship between parents were way different in a way of it being more respective and obedient, not like these days we talk to parents. Especially, her talking to his father( men dominant) she can't resist or disobey on whatever he says, also she is not like a princess like Juliet to disobey her parents, so i think it's more of how parents were treated back than compare to these days.

I don't like her either. If she truly loved Hamlet, she shouldn't listen to her father, ordering her to do something to weaken Hamlet.

I think Ophelia should had to obey her father but I think she could not obey her father too. I do like Ophelia but I'm not sure she really loved Hamlet or not.

I also think that ophelia didnt truly love Hamlet. If she did, she wouldnt have called him crazy no matter what happens to him. And if i were ophelia, i would try to find out what's turned him to such a monster. Also, just because ur father tells u not to date a guy doesnt mean that she should if she truly loved him

I think that Ophelia really loved Hamlet because she became crazy due to Hamlet's rough action to her. I think that is the proof needed to say that she loved him. She thinks that she is betrayed and abandoned because of the death of Hamlet's father.

I don't like Ophelia neither as well but I totally think that she loves Hamlet. According to their behavior, they seem like around teenager age and at that age, people are dying for their love. However, i don't like the way we present the woman role at the time which she always complains, weeps and mourns.
