In class, Miss boyd show us the powerpoint we need to make for teaching. One important part is major theme of Hamlet. I think we could exchange some ideas here for our presentation. What major thmes would you write in your presentation?
As for me , I would revenge, religion, and uncertainty. In my part, the conversation between Hmalet and other characters could best show these main themes, especially the soliloquize from the Hamlet could best reflect the theme.

I would put in mystery, death, madness, etc. My part is where Ophelia saw & is afraid of Hamlet's behavior. I could connect all these themes in my presentation. For example, I would connect the theme, madness, because of Hamlet's behavior. His behavior could be applied to madness, for him to be acting unusually weird.

For my monologue i would definitely involve the theme of uncertainty because Hamlet goes through a dilemma in my part. Also themes of afterlife, love and such may pop up.

My monologue contains numerous themes as well. My monologues is Act 3 scene 3 where Claudius justifies himself for his crime. He states that he had no choice but to kill his brother. He was too much driven by power, ambition and wealth. He even took away Gertrude. Yet he still states that he had no choice, and it was for Denmark. He talks to god to purge his sin. As a result, Hamlet, who was behind Claudius to kill him, go back because he didn't want Claudius to go to haven after Hamlet kills him. (By the way, in this part, Hamlet's monologue will be acted by Luke)
Through the monologues we can detect themes like nation as diseased body, uncertainty, incest, public versus private self and more. Claudius obtained his crown through illegal behavior, thus represents nation as diseased body. Also while Claudius repents for his crime, he had numerous questions, showing uncertainty in his crime, objective and forgiveness. He married his sister-in-law, showing incest. Lastly, he privately ask for forgiveness and justifies his action while in public, denies or at least pretends he doesn't know about the murder. He seems strong and calm on public.

My monologue Act II Scene II is when Hamlet talks to himself and is conflicted on what he should do to his uncle to get his revenge. So I would say the major theme for mine is revenge.

my monologue takes place during the conversation between Hamlet and the ghost. Some themes include, revenge, uncertainty, lie/deceit, incest/misogyny. The ghost talks about how he was murdered and all the aspects that was taken away from him due to the unnatural death. The ghost asks hamlet to seek revenge, however there are many controversies to whether the ghost is real or not since the ghost shares many similar characteristics and perspective as Hamlet.

My monologue takes place during the conversation between Hamlet and his mother. Hamlet basically wants his mother, Gertrude, to see what kind of sin she has committed and feel guilty about it. Hamlet also emphasizes his hatred towards Claudius by denouncing him as a king while praising his dead father. I think my monologue involves themes of family (more specifically family incest) and betrayal/revenge.

In my monologue, Hamlet wants Laertes to forgive him by saying that his madness (not himself) is guilty for offending Laertes and murdering Polonius. I would put uncertainty, complexity of action, appearance and reality, madness, revenge, deceit, moral corruption, and subjectivity.

i would choose women and madness for my part because in my part, Ophelia was scared of Hamlet's weird behaviour and Hamlet was really sad and mad that he cannot talk to Ophelia.

In my part, Hamlet sneaks up behind Claudius who is praying, ready to kill him, but realizes that if he kills him now then Claudius's soul will go to heaven. So he withdraws himself and feels determined to kill him while he is sinning to ensure that he goes to hell. In this scene, we can see themes such as complexity of action, corruption, revenge, and religion.
