Shakespeare's wife, Anne Hathaway, was also an english poet. She outlived Shakespeare by 7 years.

Some people think that Shakespeare is not an actual person, but maybe a group of people who wrote the stories all together by the one of William Shakespeare. Another possibility is that Shakespeare might be a name that is used as a pen name.

I did my presentation based on Shakespeare's life, so I had to do some research. (I think Ms. Boyd forgot to let our group present in our class haha) So from what I know, he was born in Stratford-Upon-Avon from a normal family. He was actually not actually from rich family. However, he was the third child of 8 children. He couldn't attend to university in that his family was too poor to afford the money. Thus he went to public school and didn't extend his education afterward. He later married Anne Hethaway who was 8 years older than him. At that time, Shakespeare was 18 and Anne was 26. She was also pregnant. Soon Susanne was born and a twin, Hamnet and Judith, was born. Later, Hamnet died. In 1616 his health became weaker and died on his birthday, which was April 23rd. In the document, he was said that he was born on 26th, but in that culture, children were usually baptized 3 days after their birthday.
I also saw many of this pictures; he is kind of bald. He also built Globe Theatre and formed King's men, the group of actors loved by royals and people.

Most ofShakespeare's poems were about love and his tragic plays usually ends with the protagonist dead.

It was illegal for women to perform in the theatres in Shakespeare’s lifetime so all of their parts were written for men.

His actual birth date is unknown but church records that William Shakespeare was baptised on April 26, 1564. From this, it is believed he was born on or near April 23, 1564, and this is the date scholars acknowledge as William Shakespeare's birthday and Shakespeare's father is an alderman and a successful glover and his mother is a landed local heiress.

There is a chance that Shakespeare married two different women with the same first name: Anne Hathaway and Anne Whateley. There is a possibility that Shakespeare was cheating out of his wives or that one of the two wives forced William to marry with one of them. If it’s true, Shakespeare must have had a very hard life after the marriage.

Shakespeare couldn't go to college because of his father's bankruptcy. He was pretty rich until 14 years old.

When I was learning about Shakespeare in my freshmen year, I was really shocked by the fact that he was married multiple times, and that he didn't really like the first? or send wife of his. After his death, he only left something menial for his wife, which showed that his affection towards his wife wasn't sincere.

Nobody knows what Shakespeare did between 1585 and 1592. It is true that Shakespeare disappeared from the historical record between 1585 (his twins’ baptism was recorded) and 1592 (when the playwright Robert Greene denounced him in a pamphlet as an "upstart crow"). Some people have speculated that he worked as a schoolteacher, studied law, traveled across continental Europe or joined an acting troupe that was passing through Stratford. However, no one still knows what he really did or what happened to him.

I also learned that before he died, Shakespeare put curse on grave robbers to intend to thwart the numerous grave robbers who plundered England's cemeteries. The verse read: "Good friend, for Jesus sake forebear....To dig the dust enclosed here. Blessed be the man that spares these stones....And cursed be he that moves my bones".

William Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway's marriage was pretty weird in other aspects, other than the fact that she was 8 years older than him. They only announced their marriage once, when it was normal to announce it 3 times. They also slept in separate beds, and in his will, she was only promised his 'second best bed'. Whatever that means.
