Since we are starting to read Shakespeare's work, let's learn more about him! Can you guys share just one fact about Shakespeare? For me, I got to learn that Shakespeare first started his career in a theater! I thought that was really interesting because when we think of Shakespeare, we just think of him as a writer whose works are Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and etc.

Shakespeare is the second most quoted writer in the English language. This shows the influence of his work to rest of the world, since after his death. Any guess for number 1? It is a writer of the Bible.

Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway had three children together: Hamnet(son), who died early because of Black Plague in 1596, and two daughters, Susanna and Judith. Shakespeare didn't have descendants because his granddaughter Elizabeth(daughter of Susanna), died childless in 1670.

Shakespeare disappears from historical records between 1585 and 1592. It remains a mystery to historians exactly what the writer did during those seven year. He also married to an older woman named Anne Hathaway, who was three months pregnant at that time. These are the facts that I found that were pretty interesting.

Shakespeare is one of the best play writers who wrote a lot of plays and sonnets. The history says Shakespeare achieved greatly on English literature. The first English literature I had read was "Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare," and It was interesting enough for me to read his other works.

SInce i had to do research about the Globe Theater, i found out that Shakespeare's plays were played in the theater. And one of his play As You Like It reworded the Globe Theater's motto, the whole world is a playhouse.

Shakespeare made a lot of English words. The words he invented in his plays are almost 3,000. Examples are blushing, countless, champion, and more.

We almost always know how previous famous people died or what was the cause of it, but no one knows the cause or how Shakespeare died.

There has been questions on whether Shakespeare was bisexual, or not. This was questioned, because of his sonnets. People assumed that the sonnets might have been addressed to men.

Shakespeare was a playwright who used the 5 act play. All of his plays follow this simple structure: exposition -> rising action -> climax -> falling action -> resolution. This is the reason why his plays have 5 acts, one to fit each one.
