Hey guys, hope your weekend is going well. Since Ms. Boyd assigned us mini presentations about things that are related to Shakespeare, I think we should share what we are going to present tomorrow morning and then name our group members. My group and I are going to talk about the history of Globe Theater and my group members include Elisa, Jasmin, and Crystal. What about you guys? What are you guys going to present and who are your group members?

My group includes Woojang and Woori. We're going to be presenting about the elizabethan era, which was the epoch in English history of Queen Elizabeth I's reign (1558–1603). Historians often depict it as the golden age in English history because of its brightness in literature, poem, and etc.

my group consists of luke and Anyu. We are in charge of the Shakespearean Playwright Structure. I'm going to compare Shakespeare's playwright structure to Aristotle's and talk about the Integrated Characterization with Plot. Anyu is in charge of talking about Shakespeare's 5 act structure in detailed. Finally, Luke is in charge of putting the 5 act structure in context by using Romeo and Juliet as an example.

My group is Jooyoung and Nadira, and we already presented about the lives of the actors during the Shakespearean era. The actors' lives are very interesting. For example, many male acted as women roles since women were not allowed to do the job at the time. Also, actors died early because they used white makeup which were made out of led. This poisoned the actors and made them die early.

I'm not so sure about whether posting our group members and topic would be helpful, so I will talk about the things I have learned while researching. Our group researched about the Elizabethan era. Some people call it as the Golden Age of English history. During this time period, there was a plethora of art, technology, education. For example, the Globe Theater was made during this period. Shakespeare made his work in the Elizabethan era.

My group was Jooyoung and Esther, and our presentation was on the actors of the time. We talked about their generally bad rep, dangerous job conditions, and the fact that only men were allowed on stage for a while.

I did my presentation based on Shakespeare's life, so I had to do some research. (I think Ms. Boyd forgot to let our group present in our class haha) So from what I know, he was born in Stratford-Upon-Avon from a normal family. He was actually not actually from rich family. However, he was the third child of 8 children. He couldn't attend to university in that his family was too poor to afford the money. Thus he went to public school and didn't extend his education afterward. He later married Anne Hethaway who was 8 years older than him. At that time, Shakespeare was 18 and Anne was 26. She was also pregnant. Soon Susanne was born and a twin, Hamnet and Judith, was born. Later, Hamnet died. In 1616 his health became weaker and died on his birthday, which was April 23rd. In the document, he was said that he was born on 26th, but in that culture, children were usually baptized 3 days after their birthday.
I also saw many of this pictures; he is kind of bald. He also built Globe Theatre and formed King's men, the group of actors loved by royals and people. By the way, my group consists of Dhiya and Jimin.
