I know most of you are very "excited" about studying Hamlet written by William Shakespeare! I AM SO EXCITED TOO!!!!!! Uh... So....we need to study Shakespeare, so let's share what we know about Shakespeare in general. I'm pretty sure we know something about Shakespeare because most of us studied Julius Caesar written by Shakespeare in our 10th grade and we even did monologues and trials. I understand that we don't really know about Hamlet except for "To be or not to be..." speech.
From what I know, Shakespeare was born in England in Renaissance time period. As a result, his works were influenced by the atmosphere and trend in England in Renaissance. He composed many works like Hamlet, Midsummer night's dream, Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet, and more. Also I saw many pictures of Shakespeare in the google for being bald. He made the theatre Globe but was once burned down. He was loved by the royal classes in England as well. He composed many works and even directed many plays. He indeed wrote some romantic poems (that I don't understand).

I'm not familiar with any Shakespeare's work, except Romeo and Juliet, or his biography, etc. Now that we've begun studying Hamlet and have to give presentation on Shakespeare, hopefully I can get a better understanding of his works and Shakespeare, himself, as a writer and his writing style (sonnets), how he had such a big influence on modern English (he invented words such as: suspicious, bloody, radiance, etc) and much more.

Shakespeare was born in 1564 in Stratford upon Avon and attended grammar school approximately in 1570. Because Shakespeare’s father was behind his taxes in 1578, Shakespeare had to leave the school to help his family by working in the family business, trading wool, leather, and corn. In 1582 he married Anne Hathaway at a local church in Stratford. During this time, wedding was a religious ceremony and mostly held in churches. The two of them lived in the house of Shakespeare’s father. They had a child after six months after their marriage and named her Susan. There is a chance that Shakespeare married two different women with the same first name: Anne Hathaway and Anne Whateley. There is a possibility that Shakespeare was cheating out of his wives or that one of the two wives forced William to marry with one of them. If so, Shakespeare must have had a very hard life after the marriage. In 1588 Shakespeare went to London to work as an actor, leaving his family behind at Stratford. Shakespeare performed in a theater built by James Babbage.

This is about his Early Life William Shakespeare is a famous playwright and poet, and we’re familiar with his work, like sonnets and Hamlet. His actual birth date is unknown but church records indicate that he was baptized on April 26, 1564. From this, it is believed he was born on or near April 23, 1564, and this is the date scholars acknowledge as his birthday. His father is an alderman and a successful glover and his mother is a landed local heiress.William was the third child of John Shakespeare and he had seven siblings, including two older sisters but both of them were dead during their childhood, two younger sisters and three younger brothers.Scholars also said that Shakespeare most likely attended the King’s New School in Stratford, which was mainly a grammar academy. The school in which he attended provided an intensive education in grammar and classic latin authors. When Shakespeare married Hathaway, he was 18 years old while she was 26 with three moths pregnant.Their first child, a daughter was born on May 26, 1583 and two years later, twins were born. After the birth of the twins, there are seven years of William Shakespeare's life where no records exist. Scholars call that period is "lost years," and there is wide speculation on what he was doing during this period.

My part is about religion of Britain. Now, British government allows people to believe in any religions, but when Shakespeare lived in British, it was different. Elizabeth 1 was the first person to decide to protestant is the national religion of Britain. Before Elizabeth decided it, many war between Catholic and Protestant happened.

Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, in 1564. Very little is known about his life, but by 1592 he was in London working as an actor and a dramatist. Between about 1590 and 1613, Shakespeare wrote at least 37 plays and collaborated on several more. Many of these plays were very successful both at court and in the public playhouses. In 1613, Shakespeare retired from the theatre and returned to Stratford-upon-Avon. He died and was buried there in 1616. Shakespeare wrote plays and poems. His plays were comedies, histories and tragedies. His 17 comedies include A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Merry Wives of Windsor. Among his 10 history plays are Henry V and Richard III. The most famous among his 10 tragedies are Hamlet, Othello, and King Lear. Shakespeare’s best-known poems are The Sonnets, first published in 1609.

I'm quite familiar with Shakespeare name but not with his personal life. I did Hamlet since 10th grade haha and I visited his birthplace in Warwickshire, England before too but that doesn't mean anything for me as I'm not a bookworm type of person so well yeah. His works are unbelievable good though and I'm looking forward to learn more about him in the future too.
