Can you be happy without a purpose in life?
Personally, I don’t think one can be happy without a purpose in life. A person who doesn’t have any short or long-term goals would live without meaning, wasting time and life. A purpose doesn’t always have to be going to heaven. A person could pursue his or her dream by accomplishing smaller milestones. However, if doing nothing makes someone happy, it doesn’t necessarily guarantee permanent happiness.
Are wealth and status more important than other purposes?
I think that this question would differ from people to people depending on their personal values and cultural backgrounds. For me, these two aspects, especially wealth, are part of what I value; however, it’s missing out on the most important aspect of my life, family & loved ones. I could say that I live to serve my loved ones and guarantee their happiness (ambitious goal).
Does an afterlife exist?
In my opinion, an afterlife doesn’t exist. When a person dies, the person dies and gets decomposed. The main focus here is to talk about the attitude of people when knowing that an afterlife exists. Some people would only perform good deeds knowing that a better place after death could be a reward. Such concept can completely alter one’s daily life and course of action.
