Like we discussed in class, I think the lady who comes up during Sir Gawain's journey could be sent from the Green Knight. I predict that he sent her to seduce Sir Gawain to confuse him. This could be a trap for him because he does not know anything about the lady but he is for sure attracted to the lady. I think Sir Gawain might later get rid of the seduction and just go on with his journey. He will feel guilty and think of his king. This is just my prediction, but I am very excited to read about what will happen next.

I think the lady is evil and a supernatural figure. She might be something the green knight created or hired to seduce Gawain in order to test him against his will. But she can just be seducing him because she's lonely. Either way I don't like her because she seems way to desperate. I really hope the story has a big twist because with all these assumptions, I really don't want to be disappointed.

She seems unusual flirty. As Danielle said above that she might be a supernatural figure or got hired from The green knight to seduce Gawain but we can't judge people too fast. Gawain might be her love at first sight (aw lol) which she falling deep deep in love with him?? I still not quite sure yet if she's The green knight (girl vers maybe lol)..imagine if she's actually The green knight impersonated and kiss Gawain 3 days in row. Aw man isn't sound messed up to you all?

As I go back to the plot and read it over and over, I realize that there's got to be a connection between the lord's wife and the Green Knight. The fact that lady hands over the green belt seems really suspicious as well as the fact that the lord keeps on hunting while leaving his wife alone with Sir Gawain. It seems as if the Green Knight goes inside of the lady's mind to test Gawain. I really want to know the true symbol behind the green belt and specific portrayal of hunt scenes each day. Is the lady the Green Knight?

i think the green knight is making the lady disturb sir gawain by her sexiness and beauty, and i also think that the green knight is behind the lady's beauty maybe he turned her into beautiful with magic

I think that the girl is someone who is just looking for someone who see can dearly care for because she is lonely or if she is just "too" in love with Gawain that she would do anything to grab his attention towards her.

Maybe(just my opinion) the lady is a sorcerer and temping Sir Gawain whether he gonna cross the line(with the lady) to keep his honor or whether he gonna choose the lady which i think it presents the disruption.

As far as i am concered, the lady in the Sir Gwain symbolize the contemptation in the life. Facing these contempation, we should learn to overcaom or ignore them so that it would not make a bad influence on our life.

At first, the lady appears to be mischievous and "unethical" as she seem to be cheating on the lord, since the lord wasn't at home. Such scene is very common in movies or dramas. However as the story proceeds, it starts to feel like the lord hasn't been paying much attention to his wife much; therefore when a man as fine and ideal as Sir Gawain shows up "full time" in the castle, the lady would definitely be deeply attracted to Gawain. I had this feeling when i read the third day. The lady was constantly offering items for Sir Gawain solely to buy as much time her can get while with Sir Gawain. Also, the night before Sir Gawain left the castle, he prayed for the lord to love his wife more. This could reflect Sir Gawain's keenness as he noticed the problem with the lady.

It was really interesting to see the lady trying to seduce Gawain, but as I read about her actions I found some things odd. First of all, why is the lady interested in Gawain so much? I thought Gawain was not very attractive, even weak among the knights of the round table. It seems that the lady is trying to seduce Gawain very diligently that it almost seems like this was planned from the start. My prediction came sort of clear when she presented the green and gold belt to Gawain. The Green knight's armor was described that it was green and gold, so I guess the lady is related to the knight. Or maybe she IS the Green Knight.

I didn't think that the lady was a evil figure. I think she is just really flirty, like she likes seducing men. Maybe her husband doesn't take care of her, or she just likes cheating...however I could see why she wants to seduce Gawain, because he is a hero and is attractive and all.

I think she has little bit poor image because she did what her husband told her to do. I think her husband is bad but not lady is bad because she was just listening to what her husband said so. Her husband is weird because he told her to kiss sir gawain, that act was not intended by her. So I think the lady is just poor women that listened to her husband.
