After reading the first few pages of the story, tell me your prediction on what the general story is going to be about.
(the story starts off with King Arthur in his feast and a knight covered with green coming in)

I can't guess the plot in detail. But I believe at the end of the story, Sir Gawain will find the Green Knight, kill him, get the axe. After he succeeds in his mission or quest, I think Sir Gawain will become one of the most renowned and respected knight. I already see that the author intends to highlight Sir Gawain's humbleness and courage, which should've been two important traits that knights in England had. But we'll see! Sir Gawain might even die in the middle of the story who knows

So far of what happened in the story it's very hard to predict what will happen in the future. However, I predict that the mission of finding Green Knight will require many sacrifices and Ms. Boyd told us that there is slight romance in the story, I'm guessing the romance will be sad ending where either Sir Gawain dies or the lover dies.

Well, it's quite obvious that Sir Gawain will meet the green knight again, but since he has to go up against a supernatural being, I think Sir Gawain will come up something underneath his sleeve. Maybe he'll perform a trick similar to what the green knight did, like having a double act out his head being cut off. Or perhaps he will trick the green knight by fancy words into a duel which holds the green knight's weakness. Either way, I believe that Sir Gawain will get his way over the knight one way or the other.

It is very hard to predict the story since we are just starting to read the story.but I predict that the Gawain will find the Green Chapel and also he will know who is the Green Knight. In the process of looking for the Green Chapel he will encounter lots of problems because the Green Knight wants to make Gawain break the deal or be late to go to the Green Chapel. In the end, Gawain will be friend with Green Knight and them will help each other for doing something.

I agree with Brandon. Sir Gawain promised the Green Knight that he will find the Knight and fight. Because Sir Gawain is a fearless man, he will keep the promise, find the Green Knight, and kill him. His almighty story will be one of the most famous anecdote of Sir Gawain, like how other Knights have their own heroic stories.

Well, I don't think anybody is going to ever win. Sir Gawain, as most of you guys mentioned, is very brave and fearless man who is trying to prove his point by demonstration. On the other hand, the green knight is an ultimate figure, I believe, that is shown to be supernatural and extreme. They both have very conflicting characteristics and it is hard to predict. And we don't know yet for sure how the King Arthur would come as a big twist. Anyways, my prediction is that since the both of them have a very strong characteristics that are conflicting each other, nobody will win and the king will play a big role in the battel.

I think the major conflict of the story is going to be Gawain's journey to find the Green Knight. The Green Knight disappears from the scene as he taunts Gawain to find him later. Gawain must have been hurt in his honor and self-esteem. How he seeks to revenge and deals with the Green Knight in the future will be the peak of the plot. Also, one of the most important aspect to focus on is how King Arthur will come into the plot during the process

Although I can't predict in a lot of details, I am predicting that there would be tension between Sir Gawain and the Green Knight throughout the story. After Sir Gawain thought that he had killed the Green Knight, Green Knight's head was put back and he said that he will come after Sir Gawain later. There will be revenge from the Green Knight, and Sir Gawain will try to fight back and protect his king. I think it would be interesting to see how he will revenge.

I don't actually understand the challenge that the green knight made. In what i understand is green knight challenges someone to step up to strike him with his own axes under the condition that person have to find the green knight in one year later and receive a blow in return. If my understand is right so WHAT THE HECK??? after Sir Gawain's strike, the green knight's head fall off and he picks it up and walk away LOL but Sir Gawain is human if he receives a blow from green knight, his head will fall down and just lie down there. So I think that my understand is wrong or at the end, Sir Gawain will just die like that. Or maybe the green knight won't give him a blow in return for Sir Gawain's courage.

I think the green knight will appear again and have conflict with people who are in castle. I don't know why he makes trouble with government people but I think he have purpose for his act. Even though he is very random, I think he will do something to the people that are related to king

I think the green knight represent a natural super power. the colour green represent immorality and nature. even though his head was chopped off he was alive. i think that shows like super power.

after reading first part of sir geain and green knight,i think sir gwain and green knight want to teach us that although we sometimes have much power than others, we should learn to respect people who do not have power like others. in first part, after sir gwain usinf sword cutting that mysterious man, he didn't die. the promise they give is a punishment to king aruther and his knights.

I predict that the Green Knight will fight other knights to be the best. He might threaten King Arthur’s kingdom and there might be few knights left to protect the kingdom. The Green Knight might be the strongest of all the remaining knights. At the end, Sir Gawain might kill the Green Knight and bring peace.

To put it simply, I believe that the knights will reunite with each other and fight against some kind of threat. The knights will overcome that hardship some way and in the end I believe that the knights will face some kind of tragic event like how in Beowulf.
