i think there are many different kinds of brave in the world. brave can mean a person beat his fear and try to do something he never does. brave can mean a hero beat a monster without faer. brave can also mean a soldier fight for his country. i think there are many different kinds of brave.

I feel like fear can lead people to being brave. A lot of the things I fear might be a lot easier for other people to face since we all think differently. But once we accept the challenge to face it, I feel like it can show somewhat of a courageous-like characteristic.

I agree with Brandon regards of how bravery is overcoming fear. Everyone has fear and we feel it, and moreover, everyone's fear is different. Just as Brandon stated, Miss Boyd has a fear of spiders, but I don't because I am so use to it from Canada. Also, I usually feel afraid when I face danger of some sort or I feel that I will be in danger. Sometimes I would feel afraid when I am two stories up in a building. To others it may not be. The key to bravery comes in here. In times of need, in times of danger, and in times of fear, will I be able to overcome my fear and show bravery? If I do I am brave, if I don't I am not. As simple as that.

I think Nelson Mandela's definition of bravery is closest to my own. Here's what he had to say about it: 'I learned that courage was not the absence of fear but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.' The reason I think that is the most accurate definition of bravery is because no one is truly fearless, i think. Except for Beowulf apparently but he's an oddball. When people do the right thing despite being scared, that is bravery.

yess I agree with that. Bravery is overcoming your own fear. That act of not being afraid to take the risk.

I agree with you.Bravery is to overcome something you may be fear or try to face something that you are afraid.Bravery, what dose it mean to you? The definition of bravery is the quality that allows someone to do things that are dangerous or frightening. For me,I am really afraid of the snakes, do not even think of that.So when I saw the snake wounded on Ms.Boyd's shoulder. In that moment, I am so scared but also think Ms.Boyd is a brave person. For some people that is easy to let the snakes wound on their bodies but for me I have to practice a lot with my dolls and overcome the fear.

I agree that bravery means overcoming one’s personal fear. People’s perspectives also determine whether a person is brave or not. For example, if one is not afraid of snakes, then he or she might view that the other person’s fear of snakes is unexplainable. Moreover, I think excessive bravery will lead to bravado. For example, if one overcomes the fear of something, then he or she is no longer afraid of that thing. But as time goes on, lack of fear might make that person to do anything without limit.

Bravery...differs to everyone. It all depends the person, & their experience. A little thing, a big thing, how much bravery a person has, doesn't matter, as long as they have some kind of bravery.

In my perspective, bravery is to do something that someone didnt know what it was before, or something that someone feel afraid. So it depends on differnet people, like people have their own fear. Bravery is to overcome the fear. No fear, then no bravery

I believe that bravery is to face a difficult situation that might have a great impact, face to face. I liked how u put it Brandon. I do believe that bravery has some sort of personal connection as well.

I believe bravery is a characteristic trait that describe fearless. Someone who is willing to take all the blame, hate, or wound can be called someone who is very brave. First, to be brave, you should never be embarrassed of what you are doing. If you are embarrassed, you would never be able to do what you really want to do and stand for someone or for yourself. Bravery can be relevant to sacrifice because bravery takes something to do.
