I don't think that just because you created something makes you the god of it. Victor created a "monster" but it too has a soul, a human soul. Throughout history, there have been multiple controversies over whether man should be able to own another man (slavery) and the answer was never yes. Being a god of another human being would be the exact same thing. It is wrong for one to own another person, so why would it ever be alright to be a god?

I think it is ok but I can't believe it. It is kind of scary.

Victor has an ego, however, I don't think his intention behind creating the monster was playing God. Entirely. Victor may get a kick out of having that degree of power, however I feel like his mother's death affected him so greatly, that he took it upon himself to make sure that no one around him would have to die before old age takes them. Shame it didn't work out that way in the end.

I think that this really depends on the religions. For me, I think if a person is capable of making animated livings using scientific knowledge, he/she has right to do so, unless it does not cause any harm to human beings. If the creation harms the surroundings or the humans, then he/she has no right to do so.

I think scientists have their right to create living things. As long as they don't cross the border, what's the harm in it? Purpose should be firmly determined before creating such things. I think playing god would be more intense level. For instance, creating a living thing would not be something that humans should not do, but if the purpose of the creation and what you do with the creation determines whether one's playing the role of god or not.
