Most of the time, we just focus on studying, playing games, working, and meeting friends. As our society developed, we have started to neglect the nature and its importance. For example, global warming is caused by factories gases and carbon dioxide produced by cars, which both are technological developments. So I think through the man, the author may have tried to convey how our society began to forget the nature and just keep going forward without appreciating what we already have.

I think admiration is the reason why men desire to be close to nature. Nature is something that we humans absolutely cannot go against; it is the ultimate symbol. As such, humans have innate tendency to overcome and overthrow something that is beyond and above us. we try to reach for something that is untouchable. Therefore we try so hard to go against and be close with nature

Nature has always been part of humankind. We grew up within nature, and have evolved along with nature. If we stay away from nature, it will be same as forgetting our close friend, or even the origin of us.

I think that a man would want to be close to nature because I think that they believe they will gain the truth of life and give without having any regret about it. Being one with nature will bring them closer to learning the peak of the world, seeing the world from a different perspective.

i think that this behavior can be explained as people's desire to be healthy? i don't really see how this question is appropriate since it varies among different groups of people. some people prefers the city?~ anyways, all i can think of are people who want some fresh air, some wide view, and exercise. These activities can easily be done in nature, perhaps the mountains or the beach~ These places are also free from work, technology, frustration, etc.

I don't think all men want to be close to nature. For example, today's young people hate nature because they cannot use phone in nature, and they hate bugs. I think people should be close to nature, but I don't think all people want to be.

Man desire to be close to nature because we all come from nature. Evolution theory. We all came from bacterias and small organisms.

People cannot live without nurture but if there is no nature there are no desire to survive. I think nature is important part of our lives.

Because we are always surrounded by "unnatureness" I guess... think about where we live everyday. We live in concrete jungle full of pollution, so I think people sometimes want to be close to nature and escape from artificiality.

I agree with other people's responses. I don't think nature is a big part of people's lives anymore since we are surrounded by a busy society and technological advances. But I think people think about nature and desire it sometime when they need a break from their everyday life. I think we are also part of a nature and I guess it's natural for us to feel affection towards nature I guess (too philosophical?). This is why people go to vacations or are willing to travel to other places, especially where nature can be seen, such as beaches, mountains and etc.

We were born within nature, and absolutely will die as nature/dust.Maybe when they are still young,we have a dream and they want to reach,to achieve it,we are busy on surviving in this cruel society, but time passes, when they are getting older, look back their life, they will not understand why those days they were working so hard and men will know the only thing they can do is to close to nature and return to their origin.

From the beginning of our lives, we depended on nature. If we look at genesis, we were depending on the nature and other animals to sustain our lives. When we consider the evolution, we depended on nature for water, tree, food, shelter, clothing and more. From the beginning, we were with nature and nature was the one who always gave us the presents. As a result, people tend to think nature mighty and wants to resemble them. Nature is literally the provider or sponsor for our lives.
Because humans adore and awe nature, they want to be like nature. Also we ourselves are nature; we are originally "soil" and when we die, we disintegrate and become part of the nature. Thus people like to be close to nature.

I think all people desire to be close to nature because we are from nature. People have been living in nature for long time so it may be obvious that we desire to be close to nature. So I think that's why we always want to live close to nature.
