Have you guys ever experienced relating your life to a ballad? For me, whenever I broke up with my girlfriend or something crappy happen, I listen to a really sad ballad. And I think some of the Korean ballads really have some depressing lyrics and I really like them since I feel as if they are my story. How about you guys?

I understand how you feel brandon. i felt it that way too. The poem that i chose will help us too. dreams come true, the whole poem is saying that if we wait. someday, somehow dreams will come true for us. I was worried about college, after few month or moments I did it and dream came true for me.

I don't think I could relate to accidentally killing a man but I could definitely relate to the fact that I too have chaotic thoughts in my head when I make a mistake

Whenever something consistently does not go the way i want, i would often question myself like wth and why isn't happening at least once in my way. There are some emotions and feeling included but the main point is that i also listen to ballads that talk about how life challenges you and sooner or later you something good will happen to you. Such songs just bring a little hope.

I usually don't listen to ballad because it makes me more depressed. So I listen to ballad before I sleep.

Generally ballads aren't about the most cheery things, and when I'm in a bad mood, listening to them actually brings me down, so I tend to avoid ballads.

I also listened to ballad songs after a breakup, but I often listen to them on any other time as well. I like calm and peaceful songs so ballads are actually pretty much my type. But I do often find many of the traditional Korean ballads to be a bit too touchy;;;Like they're over emotional and trying to make all of their listeners cry. I rather prefer ones that are just slow and is pretty much of reminiscence, like looking back after a long while. Those are the kinds I like.

When I get sad or stressed, I think the only way to stop them is not to think about it and sleeping is best way for me to do so. Also, I don't usually listen to music.

Whenever I feel lonely and depressed, I listen not only to sad ballads but also to peaceful classical music.

I often listen to some ballads when I am in sad mood. The slow tempo makes me comfortable and I can agree with the lyrics sometimes.

I also listen to sad ballad songs when I'm in a bad mood. I don't know why I listen to sad ballad songs when I'm sad when I could listen to happier songs and feel better. I feel like listening to sad ballad songs don't make people feel better in any way, but people still choose to listen to them and relate to their own story.

Depends on individuals' experience, Korean Ballads are very similar to the situations that individuals had.
