For past few days, we had to write a reflection and share it with the class. We did in our class, but I just want to share it with other class as well  First of all, I didn't like the monologue. It was time consuming to memorize and I forgot it already. However, I thought it was a great idea to teach others about the chosen monologue because there was a recent studying telling us that teaching others is actually the best way to learn something. I experienced the same thing. I also liked trial of Hamlet because we could learn about laws and the story and the characters in and out. (The preparation was so hard though.) I think maybe in future, we should reenact some crucial parts in Hamlet so that we can learn about the tones and more. In addition, I liked Dante's hell project because I figured out many morals and ethics I didn't care about. In future, I want to learn Frankenstein, Pride and Prejudice, and Sherlock Holmes! What do you guys think? |

First of all,I would say I like the Dante's hell and we had to create our own hell,I think it is pretty fun and you learned more.I also like the trial because we learned lots of different characters when they went up and answered those questions that lawyers asked.In the future,we gonna learn about the British literary.I am excited about it since in the past three quarters we have not learned yet.

I liked the monologue. I memorized it for about 4 days, since I thought Ms. Boyd expected a lot from us, so I still remember some parts of it. I liked the teaching and the trial; it really helped me understand more about the monologue, Hamlet and other characters, it was interesting, and I could understand why Hamlet is considered one of the best literature.
I don't have any particular lit I want to learn in the future, but Frankenstein seems interesting.

I liked that we were able to write DEJs instead of doing annotations (though only for the few first stories). I'm a techie and like to keep things organized in my folders n' all, so I found it very convenient to be able to type my notes and save them as a document file. As for interesting things we did, I enjoyed the personal hell idea which really showed insight into our own individual thoughts, beliefs, morals, etc. I wish we can do something similar to that again some time.

Her class was always hard, but I pretty enjoyed with reading most of all stories, especially for Hamlet. I became to like Shakespeare because of this class. So, I wanna learn other Shakespeare's stories.

Overall, I enjoyed reading but was not sure about the purpose. It could have been better if we were told the lessons and reason why we should read them. I did not like the monologue because it is pointless to memorize certain lines in the story unless we will work as actors. Still, teaching my monologue helped me to learn the plot of Hamlet. Final presentation could have been better without the cultural piece because I think the piece was insignificant for learning. In future, I want to read Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Metamorphosis.

I personally liked reading Hamlet. Unlike any play that we had previously looked at, Hamlet was actually the first one i ever enjoyed. It was like watching a korean drama. The way hamlet treated ophelia and his mom was especially thrilling to read hahaha. Also the trial was very fun even though the prep part was a bit pain in the butt.

i personally liked to do the trial thing. unlike to anything else, it was very active class, like no one just set back and laerned about the book or writing essay about it.

I liked the mock trial that we did in the class. As a defense team lawyer, I had fun proving that Hamlet was not guilty of killing Polonius. Although it was hard to prove that Hamlet was not guilty since he killed a person, it was still fun watching how the actual trial works. It was hard to create my own levels of hell because I did not know what to put for each level.

I like how Ms. Boyd shows us many different types of hero through those stories "Beowulf", "Scarlet Pimpernel" and "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight". Each of story shows us how a person can be considered as a hero. With such variety of example, the discussion will be more plentiful and interesting.

I really enjoyed learning and reading Scarlet Pimpernel. The story was one of my favorite genre and since we had to predict the ending, I had fun time reading it. In the future, I would like to learn stories that we could use in SAT essay examples such as Frankenstein, Fahrenheit 451, and more. I also want to learn mystery genres like Sherlock Holmes.

We learned about Beowulf, Scarlett Pimpernel, Hamlet, Sir Gawain, and etc. I really liked the mock trial because I was able to learn different perspectives of each character and it made me actually understand the play since it was too complicated for me before. Reading and interpreting the Anglo-Saxon language was a memorable experience.

I think Hamlet is kind of interesting, and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is also funmy, but I don't like Scarlet Pimpernel, it is too long...I want to study more funny short article. trial part also really cool.Dante's hell is also fine.

I enjoyed reading books and in ms boyd class there were not many tests. I think test is good way to check whether students read books or not also it will be good way to boost up the grade or lower the grade. So I think in this quarter, I hope there are more tests in class.

I liked with most of the projects we did this year, especially the trial. I guess working in a trial gave us an opportunity to look into how the court really works and i hope this stays on. And I would like to read some modern comedy novels instead of old ones.
