I simply want to hear different perspectives of different people about the ending of Hamlet. I personally did not like it just because true catharsis of Hamlet does not seem to be realised throughout the play. What do you guys think?

After I finished, my thought is why does that ghost dude come at the first place to messed everything up? i hated the ending how everyone died.

I saw how a group of stupid high-class people can mess up an entire nation. The citizens had nothing to do with anything that happened between Hamlet and Claudius. But because of the revenge going on between the two, though Hamlet may have got his revenge, his parents are now both dead, he lost his life, and Denmark is taken over. Talk about responsibility issues.

I liked it. Most of people say that they hate because everyone died. i understand why the Author killed everyone. When people want something the people have to satisfy something. Hamlet want to kill Claudius. To kill he should satisfied he death. and other people were guilty i think. so when they died i did feel any emotions that was good thing they are did something wrong.

I don't like the ending of Hamlet. All the people died. This is totally different with any literature I have read. As usual, there at least one main character live and this character belong to good position. Shakespear make this story too sad!

After I finish the book, I felt that everything occurred from ghost and ghost controlled everything. Because ghost came up in the beginning of the story and Hamlet followed everything what the ghost said. So I thought ghost was the reason of this tragedy.

After I reading all of the things consider about ghost and ghost controlled everything. Because at the beginning of the story ghost came out and consider all of the ghost said it follow all of the ghost said, so Hamlet is tragedy by what I saw.

I don't really know why high-classed people are so stupid, but they needed to calm down. They had nothing in control because they are believing in ghosts (although I kinda of do too), and making wrong decisions, which ended up destroying the whole family and kingdom. If low-class people suddenly lose their king twice in a row, how would they survive?

I did not the ending because it's all based on high-classed people having fun with their power when they suppose to help citizens. To add the whole story evolves around ghost a very unreliable source, im frustrated that we don't really know if Hamlet was actually crazy or was pretending the whole time. Personally, i think he started off pretending but ending up staying in a role of a crazy prince, but once again i am not sure, thus i am very confused. Little acts can destroy the family even though it was already been destroyed before Hamlet's conspiracy. The worst part of it is everyone dying i know that it is a tragedy and i expected to end in similar fashion, but i just don't like tragedies.

considering its a tragedy, i wouldn't say its the best ending. Although everyone died.. it occurred rather quickly as if the writer decided to rush to end everyone's lives. the ending didn't provide the reader as much "tragedy" as other tragedies do...

Hamlet's ending was not satisfactory. I liked this literature beacuse i felt like i was watching a korean drama. Hamlet being a total axxhole to others, especially to his mother and ophelia was really nothing but funny and thrilling. It would've been better if hed not died and something different happened as an endin g

I don't like the ending because just everyone died and nothing left.

I liked the ending. It's tragic but everyone made mistakes that led them to this ending. It may seem stupid and these deaths could have been v much avoided, but that was just how they were and I found it interesting.

Actually,I like how the ending goes.Everything happened in the play is meaningful I think, including everyone dies in the end.I felt like Shakespeare telling us that everything happens in the world has a reason and every fault has been made due to the environment, the society, the situation they were in. Nobody should take whole blame or everyone needs to take not only the particular person so everyone dies in the end is the better to end this story for me.
