Well, I suppose that this literature is tragedy because the main character (Hamlet) was supposed to reunite with his ex-girlfriend (Ophelia) and live happily after ever with his mother, girlfriend, and his friends, but he, his mother, and Ophelia all died except his friends. Therefore, I think this is tragedy. P.S. It said, "Tragedy" on the title page of the script.

Ok…Hamlet is definitely tragedy because everyone died at the end. I mean, even the Wikipedia says that it is tragedy. Hamlet became mad because his father died, his uncle killed his father, his mother married to his uncle, and he killed Polonius and other people. There is no plot in the Hamlet that shows any evidence of comedy. How is Hamlet a comedy?

i think it is a tragedy because every one dies and non of them are happy at the end. i dont think it is comedy because there is no funny part in the story.

i think it is a tragedy but something we cannot feel the sadness. It is tragedy jsut because the main character dies but we dont care actually... it is a made up story.

I think the ending of the hamlet is tragedy because most of characters in Hamlet die. Also most of people know Hamlet as tragedy and from ending we can notice that no one is left in the book. Everyone died at the end so I think this is tragedy

I believe it is a tragedy. It is a tragedy because Ophelia dies, which contrasts with Hamlet's plan. She is the last one that Hamlet wishes to die. Though Hamlet succeeds in the revenge, killing Claudius, I am certain that he is more sad than the past.

Comedy in a shakespearean sense isn't a humorous play, its one where there's a happy ending. Since everyone dies at the end, this play is probably classed as a tragedy, but you could argue that since the villains are also dead, and the hero is on his way to Heaven since he achieved his goal honorably, could sort of be a comedy as well.

What is the point of having killing your enemy when you have yourself killed as well? Definitely Hamlet is a tragedy for giving an ending that satisfied nobody.

Yes the story is tragedy, because as we all saw in the summary video everyone dies. The possibility of all the actions and incident that can happen and make everyone die like that is fairly low. I believe everyone dyeing is tragic ending.

uhhh i don't see how this is a comedy… maybe the summary video we watched gave us a different tone of the ending… but after all this play is a tragedy regardless since everyyyyy important character dies including Hamlet.

The story is tragedy. Everyone dies in the end. This is not a 'happily ever after'. However, comedy is founded in the play here and there as if it is one of our themes.

I think Hamlet will be a tragedy. It does not seem like it will be a comedy, because everybody in this play dies. Hamlet and all the main characters dies in the story. Even though Hamlet takes his revenge, he does not live long enough to see his victory. Which is why i believe this play is a tragedy.
