I believe that Hamlet's madness couldn't be justified by his father's death. Even if his uncle decided to murder Hamlet's dad for the crown, Hamlet couldn't murder his uncle for his sin. He has no right to decide one's sin, punishment and life. Hamlet is not even a judge or god to decide those matters, although in the story, Hamlet considers himself as powerful as god. Basically, he shouldn't decided one's fate.
Pretending to be mad for revenge is not justifiable for sure. Moreover, faking madness to kill someone is never right. If Hamlet kills his uncle Claudius, he is becoming like his enemy, by doing the same act. In this case, Hamlet shouldn't kill someone, so that he couldn't be hypocrite. Also his madness caused so much chaos in his family. His uncle, Ophelia and her family were all shocked and baffled with Hamlet's odd behavior. Because of his revenge, other people who were not directly involved in Hamlet's father's death were affected in negative manner.
