I still haven't started on the last chapter but I guess it's going to be a happy ending. So far I loved the book because the author was creative when she built suspense on some scenes of the book. Well, the beginning of the novel was a bit boring but later on it was scary and exciting. I hope the ending is going to be awesome too.

I think the ending was unexpected but it could be better if the author did not expose any clue that Percy was Scarlet Pimpernel. I liked the fact that the Jew was Percy but I could not understand why Chauvelin would not examine carefully about the Jew’s face and why Percy exposed the whole plan in the middle of the street filled with patrols.
Besides, I could see that the French people (or Europeans) did not like Jews (they believed Jews were smart, good at marketing, and received protection from God) and implies that Jews lived in France in 1792, took some significant role in economy and education, and probably experienced racism.

Personally, this book was awesome. I really liked the last few chapters, and I had a mini heart attack when I realized that the Jew was Percy, since I never expected him to be right next to Marguerite. The whole time, I never gave up the hope that Percy would be somewhere safe and would survive no matter how challenging Chauvelin would be to him. The Jew wasn't even a character that I gave a second thought to. The author really did surprise me; I don't know it the author surprised you guys. Some parts I didn't like was that the middle part of the story was very boring. I felt like the author was just too wordy and wouldn't go on to the next scene faster. I also didn't like how the narrator didn't explain Chauvelin's fate in more detail. It seemed like the author was in a hurry to end the story.

Personally, I was not very into this book did not have that feeling or urge to keep on reading. For me it just was not that exciting but it's only my opinion about this book. The ending was sort of long and wordy, author stretched last chapters to the fullest it seemed like he would never move on to the other chapter. I am satisfied with the ending besides the fact of being so long and stretchy, I always wanted Margaurite and Percy to come to resolution about their complicated relationship, Margaurite fought so hard for them and she should be reward for all her hopes and efforts to stay with Percy, luckily that's exactly what happened. If Margaurite and Percy would have never made up that would have been too upsetting.

I thought the ending of the book was quite interesting in that I couldn't have guessed that Sir Percy was the old Jew who brought Chauvelin to the hut. I was very surprised when Sir Percy revealed his identity. I thought it was a great disguise!
However, I didn't like the ending as well because Chauvelin didn't get the punishment. I wanted Chauvelin to suffer in the end; I wanted him to die or suffer great atrocity from Sir Percy. However, he went to catch Sir Percy yet that was his end. The book just said that Chauvelin was never found after that incident. I wanted him to suffer in certain way. In addition, it would be better if the author showed the after story of Sir Percy and Marguerite in England.
I was very surprised to hear that the Scarlet Pimpernel is actually the series of the books. If I have chance, I would like to read the next series to know what are the other accomplishment Scarlet Pimpernel did.

I like the setting of the book and the story in the novel. But the ending is not that interesting and the author described the unnecessary details too much so it makes the whole story boring so the novel is blemished by those long descriptions. Before Reading the last few chapters,(it is so predictable.) I know it will be a happy ending.I do not know where is Sir Percy, but in my mind I believe that he is safe and hinds somewhere.I felt like my heart is gonna stop because the climax of the story and I am surprised that Jew is Percy.

I thought the Scarlet Pimpernel was not as bad as I thought. Actually, it was pretty good. However, I didn't really get the ending of the story. I didn't know what actually happened to Chauvelin. Did he die? Or did he just went into hiding? Also, finding that Percy was the Jew was actually surprising. That was my favorite part of the book. It was a good book, and I would like to read it again.

I don't like reading book and Scarlet Pimpernel is not a exception. I know that the author has surprised us so many times such as Percy is Jew and Scarlet Pimpernel. However, the book is too wordy. Sometimes I wonder why did he have to describe so much? Thus, I don't really like the book and I think I prefer short story.

I personally didn't like the book. I much preferred Beowulf to Scarlet Pimpernel. The story was too long and the pace was going really slow. In terms of ending, I was surprised by the identity of Sir Percy. It turned out that he was the old Jew who brought Chauvelin to the hut. That was some twist I guess. It was very surprising. However, Chauvelin not getting any form of punishment kind of bothered me. He was pain in the butt for the entire story. I wanted him to get punished and suffer. Maybe Chauvelin never being found is his punishment but I wanted a clarification. And I'm kinda curious about what happened afterwards to Sir Percy and Marguerite.

Personally, I didn't like the ending. To start off, it was a bit rash. For about more than half of the book it focused on how Marguerite kept on trying to warn her husband about Chauvelin's trap but in merely 1 or 2 chapters, everything's suddenly solved. And then it was pretty obvious that the Scarlet Pimpernel was actually the old Jew towards the end so there wasn't that much of a surprise when Marguerite discovered his true identity. Honestly, as it can be seen from its title, the book should have been more about the adventures and endeavors of our hero but it was mainly about his wife. I wished there was more of him.

I think ending of the Scarlet Pimpernel was obvious because this kind of the story has happy ending mostly. I think if there are more stories behind this, the story will be very boring because since this was ended in happy way and if there are more stories, it will be just confusing. So I think the ending was not bad but it was very obvious ending.

I loved this book. It is so much better than the movie. I love the movie too....but the book is so much richer in detail. The only reason I didn't go for a 5 is that I am a sentimental fool and I wanted to see more of the reconciliation of Percy and Marguerite. It ended so quickly. There was so much build up as Marguerite realizes her errors - and her love...that I wanted some more resolution there.

The story ended so quickly. I enjoyed the ending of Harry Potter where J.K. Rowling added a chapter explaining where everyone was, who they married and who their kids were. At the ending of the Scarlet Pimpernel, there was only a page explaining what happened to everyone. And it wasn't even everyone either, it was just a few of the main characters. We don't really find out what Comte De Tournay does, or what happened to Lord Antony, or what happened to Sally and Jellyband.
Also, it was pretty cliche but I guess I forgive that because this story was the first of its kind to be written, so this story probably created all the cliches that other stories would later copy.

I'm personally not pleased with the ending. The last chapter felt so quick. Everything happened accordingly and everyone was happy. I wish someone'd die to make it more dramatic and interesting. But the story was written such a long time ago, so I think the ending makes sense: happy ending.
