As Ms.Boyd showed the movie about the Devil and how is it compared to the one in Dante. What do you guys think about the Devil in the movie First, the Devil as a woman was hot. Second, I think the Devil in the movie is corresponding with what Ms.Boyd has mentioned that the Devil is the opposite of god. As we all know that god is trustful and always bring the good for us and the Devil is obviously opposite. As in the movie, the Devil made a deal with the guys but his wishes didn't really work out the way he wanted it to be. Also, I think the Devil also has all the traits of greed, lust and pride what the Devil think it's the best and do anything to reach its purpose.

I think the devil was portrayed as a hot woman because it's tempting, especially as the main character is a male devil woman would be much more appealing. Devil represents twisted, easy ways, and just the opposite of good. It's all about temptations lot of desperate people would choose an easy way out or an easy way of living. Sometimes temptations are referred directly to the devil, ex: don't give into devil's trap, samething as saying don't let your temptations take over your thinking. Devil always uses tricks to get your soul or whatever he wants.

I think that the devil was shown as a hot woman was a very reasonable choice for the movie director. The devil, at least in my opinion, should be a very powerful being with many supernatural powers. However, in order for him (or her) to approach the main character easily, he (or she) mustn't take such an intimidating form. The devil should take a more approachable guise. So the idea to be an attractive woman would have been the best move to make in order to have the main character easily open himself to the devil.

The devil was shown as a pretty woman. This appearance was opposite of how we think of a devil; we often portray devil as a monster looking creature. I think the devil was a woman because everyone is tempted to do something bad, but they try to control themselves from doing something sin. I think the movie that Ms.Boyd showed us demonstrated the consequences of doing sin. In the movie, the main character was tempted to the evil side. At first, it was all so perfect and not so long after, all the consequences came. His wife, who he wished her to fall in love with, cheated on him and left with another guy. All of his money was from drug dealing, so it showed that being rich isn't always happy.

I didn't think the woman was pretty:) And I believe the director did a good job representing a "devil", who is opposite of god. God is righteous and good while the devil isn't so. The devil tempts the guy and basically tricks him by taking advantage of her supposedly attractive appearance. She also makes a somewhat desirable agreement, which gave the devil the guy's soul for making his 7 wishes to come true. However, she is shrewd and evil because she keeps the word but makes the guy in such a terrible situation. Yeah, she is pretty evil, suspicious, and bad.

Devil is attractive things that human will really love it. It will soon ruin people's life because of the attractions that they had. Devil is not scary things. Devil is always next to us and some thing that we like it.

In the movie, the devil is portrayed with super powers, good looks, and influential. While the devil portrayed in Dante is the exact opposite, ugly, powerless, and weak. The devil in the movie tempts the main character by taking advantage of the character's personal desires such as love, wealth, and pride. Although the main character got what he wished for, it didn't necessarily go the way he wanted as his supposed lover cheated on him. He might probably wish for love next. Nevertheless, i think that there will always be flaws no matter what wish the main character makes. this could represent the notion that not everyone can get what they want exactly.

I liked Dante's Devil more, because the fate that Dante gave the Devil is much more appropriate for someone who betrayed God and did something bad to him. I'm not sure exactly what Lucifer did. But making him a powerful being capable of granting wishes or ruling over the opposite of Heaven seems to be a reward rather than a punishment, which is why I thought the movie's version of the Devil was ridiculous. She is really nice to look at though.

For me, the movies did a better job demonstrating what devil looks like because attractive women are experts at seducing men and tempting them to fall easily to their (women's) conduct of temptation and the devil's job is also to tempt sinners and it is more accurate that women are portrayed as devil in movies.

After watching that movie, I thought that devil is kind of good creature because devil gave what the man wanted in the movie. Devil gave something that person want easily and I think that God does not do that. To get something or get saved from God, People should pray hard and believe God really hard. It will be very hard for people to do those things but devil gave things very easily. So I think devil is kind of good creature.

I think that the woman portrays as the devil, because, in the beginning, there was Adam & Eve, & Eve was the first person and woman to sin, so the devil took the shape of a woman. Eve was tempting Adam, so the devil also tempts the main character. The devil in the movie makes herself looking appealing, so that she can fool anyone she wants, to do what she tells them to do. She is made up of everything that is not good for in this world.

The devil that came out in the movie was about lust I think. The sexual attraction and the way the woman acted and dressed, all showed the characteristics of lust. However, pride and greed also comes out when the protagonist wishes for being wealthy and powerful. All these are components of Dante's sins.

The Devil looked very sly. She looked through what the man wanted in life and took advantage of that to gain his soul. She manipulates him and makes him fall into his greed. It is very scary and sounds tempting if someone is able to make their wishes come true.

i guess most of the things have been already mentioned but I would like to mention one thing that I found interesting
The devil in the movie actively sought people to persuade into her schemes. She would exploit their weaknesses and desires and try to persuade them. However, in Dante, the devil is as powerless as ever. The devil in Dante cannot grant wishes because it is in eternal punishment.
